Our History
As a family company, we have over 100 years of combined experience in metal finishing, plating, and antique restoration. Our story begins with Gordon Sampson, who started working at Chautauqua Hardware in the mid-1950s. It was there he later met Jack Fase, future owner of Premier Finishing Inc. In the early 1970’s, Gordon Sampson founded Vanson’s Superior Brass. By 1988 his three sons Geary, Mark, and Scott were all working directly for the company. Twenty years later, Vanson’s Superior Brass transitioned into Premier Finishing Inc., with Geary as General Manager and Mark as Production Manager, continuing the strong relationship established with its customers over 50 years ago.

Our Portfolio
Our portfolio features examples of our production finishing skills for both, small and large quantities. Our refinishing work includes door hardware, cabinet hardware, hinges, bath accessories, faucets, candlesticks, lamps, chandeliers, and costume jewelry and post finishing services include testing, assembly, and packaging.
In addition to bath, cabinet, and furniture hardware, Premier Finishing Inc. also works on automotive hardware. Our clients include Freight Liner, Dodge, and Harley Davidson. We also share the distinct honor of applying finishing to the Olympic torch of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA.
